What #the100dayproject Taught Me

#100daysofdreaming was birthed through #the100dayproject, but creating for 100 consecutive days did more than just help me write the first draft of my book. It imprinted these lessons inside of me.

  • A little bit of something is better than a whole lot of nothing. Interpretation: writing, even if just for 15 minutes a day, is better than choosing not to write because I don’t have an hour and a half to set aside.

  • Sheer commitment is powerful enough to press through most end-of-the-day-tiredness.

  • The end of the day isn’t the best time to get your writing on, but is sometimes the only time you have to get your writing on.

  • Public accountability oft provides the additional motivation needed to get ‘ish done!
  • What I planted daily in the form of time, energy and honesty are the seedbeds of truth and freedom for others.
  • A huge goal can be chipped away at day by day and end up not feeling so big after all.
  • It’s always more fun to create in community! Yay for my good friend, Larissa Marks, who encouraged me to participate with her!
